The Honest Funding file
The public document identifies Honest Funding LLC as purchaser under a receivables purchase agreement. Honest Funding’s current website also describes revenue-linked payments and a merchant portal with balances and payment history. The signed agreement and later stipulation control the terms of your particular matter.
BDLG’s excerpt separates an alleged underlying amount from a total that includes attorney fees and costs. It then sets out an initial payment, monthly payments and a separate provision concerning funds captured before execution.
Those provisions serve different functions. A lower negotiated total does not establish that prior collections were properly credited, that the original claim was adjudicated or that the settlement was performed. Review the ledger, full four-page agreement and later records together.

Track captured funds inside the agreed total
The excerpt states $38,886.37 plus attorney fees and costs for a total of $46,663.64. It describes a $26,504 settlement, with $6,500 initially and $1,667 monthly payments, and says previously captured funds are applied to the settlement amount. The excerpt does not establish the actual captured amount, every required credit or completion. The full schedule and accounting are needed before calculating what remained payable.

Partial, redacted excerpt from one matter. Other pages, amendments and later events may affect these terms. This discussion does not summarize the complete agreement or case. Acceptance, completed payment, releases and the final outcome require verification from the complete records. This is not a standard offer or promised result. Reconcile the old account with the new payment obligation
Start with the funder’s ledger, bank statements and any processor, levy or garnishment records. Mark each amount as paid, pending, restrained or transferred. Funds being held are not necessarily already received by the funder, and the date a credit posts can affect the remaining balance.
Ask how the captured-fund credit changes the initial payment, recurring installments or final amount. Do not assume the public example’s figures can be added together without that adjustment. Preserve written confirmation of the agreed application and reconcile it after the funds actually move.
Compare a proposed fixed settlement schedule with the original receivables agreement and any reconciliation provisions. A new stipulation may create different conditions and consequences. Review those changes before relying on general website language about payments following revenue.
Where does your Honest Funding matter stand?
MCA payments are too much
Compare the proposed monthly amount with your receipts and any changes from the original agreement.
Receivables or accounts are affected
Identify the amount actually captured and the credit it receives against the settlement balance.
Court papers have arrived
Provide the complete stipulation and docket so the payment terms can be assessed alongside procedural consequences.
Four practical first steps.
- Check for a court deadline. If you received court papers, identify where the case is filed and when a response is due. Settlement discussions do not automatically extend a deadline.
- Put the records in one place.Collect the agreement, payment history, bank statements, and every notice. Preserve emails and texts, including any proposed settlement terms.
- Review a proposed change before signing.A new agreement, acknowledgment, release, or guarantee can affect your rights and obligations. Have its terms reviewed in context.
- Discuss a plan for your actual situation.Ask which legal or negotiation options fit the documents, cash flow, and litigation status—and what representation would cost.
Honest Funding MCA questions, answered.
Is $46,663.64 the original advance amount?
No. The excerpt describes a claimed total including fees and costs, not the amount originally funded.
Are captured funds additional to the $26,504 settlement?
The visible provision applies them toward that amount. Confirm the actual credit and effect on remaining payments.
Does the merchant portal replace the signed terms?
No. It can help document accounting, but it does not replace the agreement, stipulation or court record.
Does general revenue-linked-payment language control a new settlement?
Not necessarily. Review the signed settlement’s own schedule and conditions alongside the original agreement.
What does the free MCA review cover?
The initial consultation can address your MCA agreement, payment pressure, collection communications or case status. Consultations are free. Any retained legal-service fees are separate and addressed in the engagement terms.
