The Panthers file
The letter in BDLG’s public library carries the Panthers Capital name and states a $36,425.76 balance. Its settlement language addresses an obligation placed for collection and refers expressly to a personal guaranty.
The proposed $12,000 is split into two payments. The letter connects settlement in full, release of a Minnesota UCC financing statement and satisfaction of the personal guaranty to both payments being received and cleared.
This is a particular historical document, not proof that every Panthers agreement involves Minnesota or the same guarantee. Identify the exact parties, filing office and obligations in your own documents.

Two payments followed by specific closing obligations
The letter describes $10,000 followed by $2,000 on redacted dates. It says the matter will be settled in full once both payments are received and clear the bank, and states that Panthers will release the Minnesota UCC financing statement and satisfy the personal guaranty. The excerpt does not prove that either payment cleared or that the stated closing steps occurred.

Partial, redacted excerpt from one matter. Other pages, amendments and later events may affect these terms. This discussion does not summarize the complete agreement or case. Acceptance, completed payment, releases and the final outcome require verification from the complete records. This is not a standard offer or promised result. Past results do not guarantee a similar outcome.
Check the UCC record and guaranty separately after payment
Before signing, identify the financing statement by filing number, debtor name and jurisdiction. The reference to Minnesota in this letter should not be copied into an agreement for a filing in another state. Ask which record will be filed and who will provide confirmation.
Review the guaranty language separately from the business-account settlement. Confirm which guarantor and agreement are covered, whether any obligations are reserved and when satisfaction or release takes effect. An account marked settled is not a substitute for reviewing the actual guaranty provisions.
Retain proof of both payment and clearance, then obtain the closing records the agreement requires. Compare the creditor’s confirmation with the filing office’s record and any relevant court docket. If a restriction persists, identify the missing step rather than assuming the original payment failed.
Where does your Panthers matter stand?
MCA payments are too much
Review whether the initial $10,000 and later $2,000 structure is affordable before committing to similar terms.
Receivables or accounts are affected
Identify the specific UCC financing statement and the filing action promised after cleared payment.
Court papers have arrived
Check any personal claim or court proceeding independently of the letter’s collection-account language.
Four practical first steps.
- Check for a court deadline. If you received court papers, identify where the case is filed and when a response is due. Settlement discussions do not automatically extend a deadline.
- Put the records in one place.Collect the agreement, payment history, bank statements, and every notice. Preserve emails and texts, including any proposed settlement terms.
- Review a proposed change before signing.A new agreement, acknowledgment, release, or guarantee can affect your rights and obligations. Have its terms reviewed in context.
- Discuss a plan for your actual situation.Ask which legal or negotiation options fit the documents, cash flow, and litigation status—and what representation would cost.
Panthers MCA questions, answered.
Does the first payment release the UCC filing in this example?
The letter ties its closing language to both payments being received and cleared, not only the first payment.
Does this mean every Panthers UCC filing is in Minnesota?
No. That state is identified in this particular letter. Search the filing office relevant to your own record.
Is the personal guaranty addressed?
Yes, the letter says it will be satisfied after the stated conditions. The complete guaranty and closing records still matter.
Is the $12,000 a current offer?
No. It is a partial example from one matter, not a standing offer or promised result.
