The Madison file
Madison Advance’s website addresses brokers and discusses funding and renewals. A broker’s involvement in obtaining an advance does not by itself establish authority to settle a later lawsuit or judgment. Identify the party authorized to approve the specific change you need.
BDLG’s public excerpt names Madison Advance LLC and refers to a $57,547.21 judgment. That figure is a judgment amount in this document, not evidence of how much cash the business originally received.
The excerpt describes nine payments toward a $27,000 settlement. The dates are redacted, so this guide does not label the installments monthly or assume a nine-month term.

Nine installments tied to a judgment-related agreement
The document describes a $57,547.21 judgment and nine $3,000 payments totaling $27,000. It also contains broad language about claims connected with the dispute. The complete agreement is needed to evaluate the schedule, release scope, default consequences and any requirements concerning the judgment. The excerpt alone does not prove payment completion or satisfaction of the judgment.

Partial, redacted excerpt from one matter. Other pages, amendments and later events may affect these terms. This discussion does not summarize the complete agreement or case. Acceptance, completed payment, releases and the final outcome require verification from the complete records. This is not a standard offer or promised result. Past results do not guarantee a similar outcome.
Agree on what happens to the judgment—not only what you pay
Obtain the judgment and current docket before treating the settlement as complete. Identify whether enforcement pauses while payments are made, what happens after a late payment and which filing or acknowledgment is required after performance. A negotiated number does not itself establish the court record’s status.
Ask for the actual nine payment dates and map them to expected business receipts. Nine installments do not necessarily mean nine months. Compare the total with any credit for money already collected, and confirm whether the quoted settlement includes fees or other amounts addressed elsewhere.
Read the release language with the rest of the agreement. Determine who is giving a release, who benefits, which claims it covers and when it takes effect. If a broker relays proposed terms, confirm approval from an authorized party rather than assuming the broker can bind the judgment holder.
Where does your Madison matter stand?
MCA payments are too much
Review the nine dated installments against operating cash flow and any prior credits.
Receivables or accounts are affected
Check what the signed arrangement says about existing holds and enforcement during performance.
Court papers have arrived
Bring the judgment, enforcement papers and docket so counsel can distinguish a new lawsuit from post-judgment proceedings.
Four practical first steps.
- Check for a court deadline. If you received court papers, identify where the case is filed and when a response is due. Settlement discussions do not automatically extend a deadline.
- Put the records in one place.Collect the agreement, payment history, bank statements, and every notice. Preserve emails and texts, including any proposed settlement terms.
- Review a proposed change before signing.A new agreement, acknowledgment, release, or guarantee can affect your rights and obligations. Have its terms reviewed in context.
- Discuss a plan for your actual situation.Ask which legal or negotiation options fit the documents, cash flow, and litigation status—and what representation would cost.
Madison MCA questions, answered.
Does $57,547.21 mean that much was advanced?
No. The excerpt identifies it as a judgment amount. Funding and payment records are separate.
Is the $27,000 example a nine-month plan?
The image shows nine payments, but dates are redacted. It does not establish a monthly interval.
Can my broker approve a Madison settlement?
Verify that person’s authority and the written approval. Prior funding assistance alone does not establish settlement authority.
Does signing remove the judgment?
Do not assume so. Review the agreement’s conditions and the actual court filings, including any required satisfaction record.
