EZFund MCA lawsuit with fees added to the claimed balance?
A complaint balance, added attorney fees and a proposed settlement are different figures. Before agreeing to an EZFund payment plan, identify what each amount includes and what rights the new document asks you to give up.

The EZFund file
The excerpt in BDLG’s public library names EZFUND LLC, also identified there as EZFUND CAL LLC. Use the actual entity named in your agreement and court papers; a similar website or brand name alone does not establish the party to your transaction.
This example is a court-related stipulation. Its opening provisions address withdrawing an answer and claims or counterclaims, along with service and jurisdiction acknowledgments. Those provisions can matter as much as the proposed payment amount.
The visible page separates the amount described in the complaint from attorney fees, a filing fee and additional interest or expenses. It is labeled page 1 of 7. The other pages and current docket are necessary to understand the complete proposal and what, if anything, happened afterward.
- Names in the excerpt
- EZFUND LLC / EZFUND CAL LLC
- Accounting issue
- Principal, claimed fees and interest are listed separately
- Procedural issue
- The proposed terms address an answer and counterclaims
- Independent legal representation
- Business Debt Law Group is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting for EZFund.
Separate the claim’s components before comparing terms
The page lists $89,215 in principal, $22,303.75 in attorney fees and a $36.05 filing fee, totaling $111,554.80 before additional interest and enforcement expenses. It describes $25,000 settlement terms with monthly installments and no prepayment penalty. These are the document’s stated figures, not a determination that every charge was recoverable or that the settlement was completed.

Partial, redacted excerpt from one matter. Other pages, amendments and later events may affect these terms. This discussion does not summarize the complete agreement or case. Acceptance, completed payment, releases and the final outcome require verification from the complete records. This is not a standard offer or promised result. Past results do not guarantee a similar outcome.
A smaller total can come with consequential procedural terms
Start with a line-by-line accounting. Compare the purchased amount, payments and credits with the principal alleged in the complaint. Identify the contractual and legal basis asserted for attorney fees, interest and other additions. A number printed in a proposed stipulation is not a substitute for that review.
Ask what happens to an answer, defenses and counterclaims if the stipulation is signed. Withdrawal or admission language may affect positions already taken in court. Review the entire document before treating it as only a payment arrangement, and keep any existing court deadline active unless counsel confirms otherwise.
The example’s no-prepayment-penalty term does not itself promise an additional discount for paying early. Confirm the remaining amount, timing and closing paperwork in writing. Keep proof of each payment and compare the final accounting with the signed terms, including any later amendment.

Receivables or accounts are affected

Court papers have arrived
Bring the answer, counterclaims and all stipulation pages before agreeing to withdraw a position.
Four practical first steps.
- Check for a court deadline. If you received court papers, identify where the case is filed and when a response is due. Settlement discussions do not automatically extend a deadline.
- Put the records in one place.Collect the agreement, payment history, bank statements, and every notice. Preserve emails and texts, including any proposed settlement terms.
- Review a proposed change before signing.A new agreement, acknowledgment, release, or guarantee can affect your rights and obligations. Have its terms reviewed in context.
- Discuss a plan for your actual situation.Ask which legal or negotiation options fit the documents, cash flow, and litigation status—and what representation would cost.
EZFund MCA questions, answered.
Does the $111,554.80 figure mean that much was advanced?
No. The excerpt combines stated principal with attorney and filing fees. It is not the original funding amount.
Are the listed attorney fees automatically enforceable?
Their inclusion in a document does not answer that question. The agreement, applicable law and case record require review.
Can signing affect an answer or counterclaim?
Yes. The example expressly addresses withdrawing them. Have the complete provisions reviewed before signing.
Does no prepayment penalty mean an early-payment discount?
Not necessarily. It addresses a penalty; a further discount would need its own agreed terms.
What does the free MCA review cover?
