Par Funding MCA lawsuit or an older payment agreement?
If your business received an advance from Par Funding, start with your merchant agreement, any modification and the party now requesting payment. Investor-recovery news does not answer what happens to your individual MCA account.

The Par Funding file
Par Funding is identified as Complete Business Solutions Group, Inc., doing business as Par Funding, in both the court-appointed receiver’s website and the redacted modification in our document library. The receiver’s site identifies the federal proceedings as SEC v. Complete Business Solutions Group, Inc., No. 20-cv-81205-RAR, in the Southern District of Florida.
For a merchant, the useful questions are narrower than the headlines: Who currently has authority over this account? What payment credits are recorded? Does an earlier modification still govern? Our review focuses on your business’s MCA obligations, collection communications and court papers.
The receiver’s website has a merchant-specific notice as well as investor claims information. Check current court orders and verified account instructions before relying on a historical notice or sending funds to a new destination. BDLG is independent of the receiver and Par Funding.

A modification with continuing conditions
The published excerpt identifies a $149,251.73 balance and $54,744.71 modification terms, with weekly payments and a final payment. It ties collection restraint to honoring the agreement and contains language about lifting security arrangements after payment clears. These are provisions to read with the rest of the file; the excerpt does not prove payment, release or the account’s current status.

Partial, redacted excerpt from one matter. Other pages, amendments and later events may affect these terms. This discussion does not summarize the complete agreement or case. Acceptance, completed payment, releases and the final outcome require verification from the complete records. This is not a standard offer or promised result. Past results do not guarantee a similar outcome.
Trace the account from the original advance to today’s demand
Build a dated sequence: advance agreement, modification, payments, returned debits, notices and any court filings. An old settlement document can help explain the history, but the current balance also depends on credits, later amendments and subsequent events.
The modification shown here describes a personal guaranty and a return to original contractual payment terms after a returned or stopped payment. Before agreeing to a replacement schedule, ask what remains of the earlier modification, how prior payments will be credited and which parties will receive any release. Do not assume a new figure replaces every earlier obligation.
If someone contacts you on behalf of the receiver, a servicer or another holder, preserve the full communication and independently verify the sender and payment instructions. Bring any assignment, court order or authority document supplied with the demand. A receivership announcement alone is not a determination that your merchant obligation has disappeared.
Where does your Par Funding matter stand?
MCA payments are too much
Compare your current cash flow with the weekly obligation and any later payment arrangement. Include bank records that show what was actually credited.
Receivables or accounts are affected
Collect the original filing or restraint, the modification’s release language and any later notice. A promised release and a completed release require different proof.
Court papers have arrived
Identify the court and exact plaintiff in your merchant case. Do not substitute dates or claims procedures from the investor receivership for deadlines in your own papers.
Four practical first steps.
- Check for a court deadline. If you received court papers, identify where the case is filed and when a response is due. Settlement discussions do not automatically extend a deadline.
- Put the records in one place.Collect the agreement, payment history, bank statements, and every notice. Preserve emails and texts, including any proposed settlement terms.
- Review a proposed change before signing.A new agreement, acknowledgment, release, or guarantee can affect your rights and obligations. Have its terms reviewed in context.
- Discuss a plan for your actual situation.Ask which legal or negotiation options fit the documents, cash flow, and litigation status—and what representation would cost.
Par Funding MCA questions, answered.
Does the Par Funding receivership cancel my MCA?
Do not assume that it does. The receiver’s appointment concerns control of the receivership entities and their assets. Your agreement, payments, applicable orders and any resolution of your own account must be reviewed separately.
Is the settlement example an offer available to every merchant?
No. It is a partial record of terms in one matter. It does not establish a current program, a standard percentage, completed performance or the terms another merchant could obtain.
Why do I need payment records if I have a signed modification?
The document describes the obligations. Payment records help establish whether those obligations were performed, what was credited and whether a later default assertion is supported.
Is this page for investors seeking distributions?
This guide addresses business owners with Par Funding MCA obligations. The court-appointed receiver’s website provides the separate investor claims information and court notices.
