The United First file

The document in our public library names United First LLC as creditor and states that a representative was retained by that creditor. That is useful evidence of the named party, but the redacted excerpt does not identify every person authorized to negotiate a later agreement.

In Cloverleaf Electric’s June 2026 bankruptcy decision, United First’s claim was treated as unsecured based on its concession and the confirmed plan; the allowed amount remained unresolved. The court dismissed one count with leave to amend rather than eliminating the whole dispute. The ruling does not establish that every United First MCA claim is unsecured or invalid.

A United First letter states a specific agreed amount.

$25,770.08 stated balance / $7,500 settlement amount

The visible letter lists a $25,770.08 balance and says the matter has been agreed to settle for $7,500. The displayed portion does not show the complete payment schedule, signature history or proof of performance. Those limits matter when describing a documented agreement rather than completed payment.

Partial, redacted excerpt from one matter. Other pages, amendments and later events may affect these terms. This discussion does not summarize the complete agreement or case. Acceptance, completed payment, releases and the final outcome require verification from the complete records. This is not a standard offer or promised result. Past results do not guarantee a similar outcome.

Creditor identity and claim status

Do not confuse a classification decision with a zero balance.

Start with the forum: a demand letter, state-court complaint and bankruptcy proof of claim require different records. If a bankruptcy case already exists, include its claim register, plan and relevant orders so counsel can assess the actual status rather than infer it from a collection email.

A settlement review should separately confirm the amount, payment timing, authorized recipient and conditions for satisfaction. Ask whether the agreement covers only the business or also any guarantor, and retain the final written confirmation rather than relying on a verbal payoff.

Use the precise name in the agreement and creditor filing. Do not combine United First with a similarly described funding brand without documentation connecting the parties. If the sender is a collection representative, preserve the letter establishing its role and verify later changes in payment instructions.

Before the next call or deadline

Four practical first steps.

  1. Check for a court deadline. If you received court papers, identify where the case is filed and when a response is due. Settlement discussions do not automatically extend a deadline.
  2. Put the records in one place.Collect the agreement, payment history, bank statements, and every notice. Preserve emails and texts, including any proposed settlement terms.
  3. Review a proposed change before signing.A new agreement, acknowledgment, release, or guarantee can affect your rights and obligations. Have its terms reviewed in context.
  4. Discuss a plan for your actual situation.Ask which legal or negotiation options fit the documents, cash flow, and litigation status—and what representation would cost.
Questions about this funder

United First MCA questions, answered.

Does an unsecured claim mean nothing is owed?

No. Claim status and amount are separate questions. The cited decision left the allowed amount to be determined and addressed treatment under that debtor’s plan.

Does the $7,500 letter prove all payments were completed?

No. It records a settlement amount in one matter. The public portion does not establish performance of all conditions.

Should I assume United First is another GFE-branded company?

No. Match the legal entity and any documented assignment or agency relationship in your own records. Similar terminology alone is not enough.

Can I request a review before considering bankruptcy?

Yes. The free MCA review can address payments, negotiations or litigation. The cited bankruptcy case is an example, not a recommendation that every business should file.

What does the free MCA review cover?

The initial consultation can address your MCA agreement, payment pressure, collection communications or case status. Consultations are free. Any retained legal-service fees are separate and addressed in the engagement terms.
