Start with the issue affecting the business, then use the detailed guide to prepare for a discussion about your agreements and circumstances.
01 / PAYMENT TERMS
MCA debt restructuring
Restructuring can involve requesting changes to an existing payment arrangement. Build a cash-flow picture that includes payroll, rent, taxes, suppliers, and every MCA before evaluating a proposed schedule.
A smaller payment does not necessarily mean a smaller total cost. Check whether the proposal extends collections, adds fees, changes guarantees, or requires signing new documents.
Use our MCA APR & Cash Flow Calculator to estimate annualized cost, compare offers, and see how scheduled payments affect operating cash.

02 / RESOLVING THE DISPUTE
MCA debt settlement
Settlement seeks an agreed resolution of the obligation or dispute. The proposed amount and schedule need to fit the business, but the written releases and treatment of any legal action are just as important.
Confirm which funders, agreements, business entities, and guarantors are covered. A settlement with one funder does not settle every advance.

03 / RECEIPTS AND WITHDRAWALS
Reconciliation under your agreement
When receipts decline, a reconciliation provision may provide a way to review collections against actual revenue. Locate the clause, gather the required financial records, and preserve any request and response.
Reconciliation is different from asking for a discounted payoff. Whether an adjustment is required or a dispute exists depends on the contract, facts, and governing law.

04 / NEW FINANCING
MCA consolidation and refinancing
True consolidation uses new financing to pay off specified advances. Compare the written payoff amounts, fees, total repayment, and the payment burden after closing. Verify how existing balances, guarantees, and MCA UCC filings will be addressed.
A “reverse consolidation” may fund payments gradually while the old advances remain open. Ask exactly which obligations end immediately and which continue. BDLG does not offer or arrange these financing products.
